Billy Gibb Yellow

Billy Gibb was in my mind by far the greatest dress designer of the sixties. His creations were staggeringly beautiful. Unfortunately he died a young man (in the mid seventies) before he could have become World famous. He certainly was much admired in Great Britain by the fashion fraternity. This picture was originally a black & white photograph.

When I came to paint the picture, I took off the original model’s head and replaced it with my daughter Poppy’s.
